  • Choose food at the top of the pyramid as snacks less often, once a week or less.
  • It's better to eat snacks between meals, not right before meals.
  • Eat snacks in small portions.

  • Rinse your mouth after snacking to help prevent dental caries. If you snack in the evening, brush your teeth before going to bed.
