variety of healthy snacks and drinks.

Choose food at the top of the pyramid as snacks
less often, once a week or less.

It's better to eat snacks between meals, not
right before meals.

Eat snacks in small portions.

Don't eat snacks throughout the day; have one
snack in morning or afternoon.

Rinse your mouth after snacking to help prevent
dental caries. If you snack in the evening,
brush your teeth before going to bed.

If your school has no healthy snacks, ask for
milk, fruit, and soymilk to be available, or
bring your own healthier snack from home.
