3. Nucleotide
3.1 Structure of nucleotides
Nucleotide = nitrogenous base + pentose + phosphate
3.2 Open the "GMP.pdb"
You have to close the previous pdb file before you can open
a new one. You can close a file by selecting "Close" command from
"File" menu.
You can now load the file "GMP.pdb" by "Open" command from
"File" menu. Try to use what you have learnt so far to view this
structure.
· RNA is composed of ribonucleotides
while DNA is composed of deoxyribonucleotides. Can you tell whether the
structure shown is a "Guanosine 5'-monophosphate" or a "Deoxyguanosine
5'-monophosphate"?
