We report the generation of transgenic fly lines expressing a GFP-based reporter (Rev::GFPsg) for the study of nucleocytoplasmic transport. Because of its fluorescence and subnuclear localization, this marker would be a valuable tool, especially for studying the roles of nucleocytoplasmic transport in different aspects of development in vivo.
