Qualifications for Admission
In addition to the general qualifications as stipulated by the Graduate School, all applicants must fulfil the "English Language Proficiency Requirement" before being considered for admission. Please refer to Graduate School homepage (http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/gss) for details on such requirement. For admission to the Graduate School, applicants should have a degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or related fields.

Programme
Each student is required to complete a total of at least 44 units for the degree. It normally takes two years to complete the programme.

 MPhil students in the Department of Biochemistry after the first term of second year of studies with outstanding performance may transfer to PhD program provided that the candidates satisty the doctoral admission requirements.

A full-time PhD/MPhil student will normally be awarded a postgraduate studentship which carries a monthly remuneration of around HK$11,000.
