Getting PDB files from the Internet

Protein structure files can be downloaded from the Protein Data Bank: 

http://www.rcsb.org/pdb

Try searching for hemoglobin (transport oxygen in red blood cells):

All entries in the PDB is identified by a four- letter code. For example, the PDB code for the insulin is '3ins'. Try click the "EXPLORE" button of the 1A00 entry.

There will be information of the molecule you searched for. Click "Download/ Display File".

Save the PDB file.

Save the file as 1A00.pdb

Try to practice what you have learnt to view the file 1A00.pdb
