Breakfast means' ”break the fast”, or start eating and drinking after a period of fasting. Did you have breakfast today ??

Surveys in Hong Kong already show that about one-third of primary and secondary school students don't eat breakfast every day. The breakfast skippers are tired and hungry more often in school than the breakfast eaters, and are fatter, too ! Surveys in the U.S. show that breakfast eaters perform better academically than skippers.

In short, it's a long time from the evening meal at the night before to the lunch in the next day, and breakfast skippers' bodies are like computers without any power all morning ! You need to break your long overnight fast!

what's a healthy breakfast ? Is it two eggs and sausages with toast and butter, or dim sum, or greasy or sweet buns with coffee ?? No! -- those breakfasts have too much fat to be considered healthy ! Although you need breakfast morning, stay away from such a meal on a daily basis !

Instead, stick to a grain-based breakfast i.e., porridge, noodles, sandwiches, breakfast cereal, and may be one egg and/or a glass of milk or soybean milk. Some green vegetables in the porridge, noodles, or sandwich are a good addition, too. By following these suggestions every morning, your body will have all the power it needs until lunchtime.
