General qualification of admission:

All applicant must fulfil the General Qualifications for Admission and the English Language Proficiency Requirement prescribed by the Graduate School, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Notes for Application
Please note that College English Test Band-6 (CET-6) score report is NOT accepted for the fulfillment of the English Language Proficiency Requirement for 2015-2016 admission. For details, please visit the Graduate School Website.


In addition to the general qualifications, applicants should have:

• obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in science, medical and engineering disciplines in a recognized university; or
• completed a course of study in a tertiary educational institution and obtained relevant professional or similar qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor degree.

Target students include:

• Secondary School Teachers
• Professional personnel in biomedical and bioengineering sectors

Study mode:

The MSc course is offered in a two year part-time basis or one year full-time basis and all classes are scheduled in the evening on weekdays and Saturday afternoons/evening at CUHK.
